Lying\non the outskirts of Monti, you can visit the famous Basilica di Santa Maria\nMaggiore. Dating back to the times of Pope Celestine I (422-432), the church of\nSanta Maria Maggiore is one of the major Papal basilicas.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along\nwith a marble floor and a bell tower, the archaic church houses Biblical\nmosaics which date back to the 5th century and a collection of other mosaics\nfrom the Medieval era.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
